Om workshopen
Den islandske koreografen Katrín Gunnarsdóttir søker etter dansere som vil delta i forskningsprosessen til hennes danseforestillingsinstallasjon: ALDA.

Vi inviterer profesjonelle kunstnere i og rundt Trondheim som jobber innenfor dans og performance til å søke. Workshopen vil strekke seg over fire dager, og avsluttes med en lukket visning. Opptil 5 dansere vil inviteres til å delta i workshopen.

UTVALGSKRITERIER
• Profesjonelle dansekunstnere som identifiserer seg som kvinner
• Vokalerfaring er en fordel, men ikke et krav
• Må være basert i Trondheim eller omegn

• Mandag – onsdag mellom 10 og 15
• Torsdag mellom 10 og 18

Om ALDA

ALDA er en nordisk danseforestillingsinstallasjon inspirert av historien om kvinners kollektive fysiske arbeid, og spesielt dens forhold til repeterende bevegelser og sang, for å generere en situasjon med intim kvinnelig samling, konvergens og sammenfall. Prosjektet er initiert av den islandske koreografen Katrín Gunnarsdóttir. Arbeidet vil bli utført av kvinnelige dansere og vil bli presentert i utstillingssammenheng. ALDA åpner på Gerðarsafn i Reykjavík (IS) i juni 2022, og andre versjoner med lokale dansere vil bli presentert på Multiplié Dance Festival i april 2023 og i Tammerfors høsten 2023.

About the workshop
Icelandic choreographer Katrín Gunnarsdóttir is searching for participants to be part of her research process for a new dance performance installation project ALDA. We hereby invite professional artists in and around Trondheim within the field of dance and performance to apply. This research takes the form of a 4-day workshop with a closed presentation at the end of the process. Up to 5 dancers will be invited to join the workshop.

SELECTION CRITERIA
• Professional dance artists who identify as women
• Vocal experience is preferable but not a requirement
•  Based in or around Trondheim

DURATION
Week 38: 4 days Monday 20 – Thursday 23rd of September 2021
• Monday – Wednesday between 10am-3pm
• Thursday between 10am-6pm

About ALDA: 
ALDA is a nordic dance performance installation that draws upon the history of women’s collective physical labour and in particular its relation to repetitive motions and song, to generate a situation of intimate female assembly, convergence and coalescence. The project is initiated by Icelandic choreographer Katrín Gunnarsdóttir. The work will be performed by female dancers and will be presented in exhibition contexts. ALDA will open at Gerðarsafn in Reykjavík (IS) in june 2022, with other versions with local dancers to be presented at Multiplié Dance Festival in april 2023, and in Tampere autumn 2023.
