Angelo Dello Iacono / DNA Dialect is in residency at DansiT working on INSPIRALED – a duet between dance artists Benjamin Alexander Lindh Medin and Rebecca Weingartner.

Built on oscillating bases of improvisation and structure, INSPIRALED is a work dissecting the mechanisms of ‘couple’. Two dancers working and living together find themselves reaching levels of complicity beyond the mere intentions of a given project. Through this fusional experience the couple communicates not only simple ordinary values such as seduction, tenderness, masculinity, femininity, domination, sensibility and submission, but also hostility and the difficulty of simply getting along, despite unconditional love.

Beyond traditional dangers of boredom, illusions of comfort, banality and weakness settling in from habit is ultimately the danger of becoming a “half-being”. Each ask the other for an heroic stability – an autonomous strength to cross inevitable moments of fragility presented by the elements of life.
