Alt nå er en forestillingssimulator som guider deg gjennom din egen forestillingsevne og forandrer verden litt

Forestill deg at du lukker øynene. At verden forsvinner bak øyelokkene dine og blir mørk og stille et øyeblikk. Se for deg at du sitter i et rom. Et nokså stort rom, med god takhøyde og gulvplass. Forestill deg at du ikke er alene, men at flere, som deg, sitter på rad og rekke med øynene lukket og lytter. Om du åpner øynene igjen kan alt være forandret. Det som ligger foran deg, kan være ett av ditt livs største høydepunkt, eller bare en kveld som alle andre. Akkurat nå, er det ingen som vet.

Som fra en audioguide i et kunstmuseum, en turistguide i en by eller meditasjonstape på kontoret, presenteres hver publikummer med individuell tekst, lyd og musikk gjennom hodetelefoner, hengende fra taket. Prosjektet utforsker forhold mellom informasjon, projeksjon og manipulasjon i et system av lydlig, kroppslig og visuelt materiale.

Forestillingen er laget av koreograf og danser Eivind Seljeseth, i samarbeid med en gruppe scenekunstnere satt sammen for dette prosjektet.

Om Eivind Seljeseth

Eivind Seljeseth er utdannet fra Skolen for Samtidsdans (nå Høyskolen for Dansekunst) og Kunsthøgskolen i Oslo. Som danser har han jobbet med mange ulike koreografer og kompanier. Av de han har jobbet mest med er det norsk-japanske kompaniet «Fieldworks», som har besøkt Trondheim ved flere anledninger. Hans egne arbeider preges ofte av en underfundig humor og lek med konseptuelle grep.

Alt nå is a performance simulator that guides you through your own imagination and changes the world a little bit

Imagine closing your eyes. That the world disappears behind your eyelids and gets dark and quiet for a moment. Imagine that you’re in a room. A fairly large room, with high ceilings and good floorspace. Imagine that you are not alone, but that several others, like you, are sitting in a row with their eyes closed, listening. If you open your eyes again, everything can be changed. What lies ahead of you could be one of the greatest highlights of your life, or just an evening like all the others. Right now, nobody knows.

Like an audio guide in an art museum, a tourist guide in a city or a meditation tape in the office, each audience member is presented with an individual text, sound and music through headphones hanging from the ceiling. The project explores the relationship between information, projection and manipulation in a system of sound, physical and visual material.

The performance is created by choreographer and dancer Eivind Seljeseth, in collaboration with a group of artists put together for this project.

Eivind Seljeseth graduated from the School of Contemporary Dance (now the University College of Dance Art) and the Oslo Academy of the Arts. As a dancer he has worked with several choreographers and companies. Of those he has worked with most, is the Norwegian-Japanese company «Fieldworks» who has visited Trondheim on several occasions. His own work is often characterized by a subtle sense of humor and play with conceptual approaches.
