«Would you defend yourself with weapons, kill your neighbor, if the neighbor attacked you?»

Azra Halilovic is originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina. She came to Norway as a refugee in 1993 when she was 14 years old. Maram Rashid is from Syria and came to Norway as a refugee in 2016.

What is it like to experience a civilized society collapse from one day to the next? What happens to a human mind when confronted with war? We must not take democracy, human rights and peace for granted. Halilovic and Rashid share their experiences and thoughts on what war is. Human rights, democracy and peace are topics we until recently could seemingly take for granted, but in light of the war in Ukraine, we are all acutely confronted with the topics.

We invite you to a conversation with Halilovc and Rashid before the performance Chotto Xenos, from kl. 16:00, at Rosendal Café. Coffee and cake will be served.
